Program Details
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) develops successful K-12 teachers through a combination of foundational educational knowledge and practical experience. The MAT program is accredited by California Commissions on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Through the hybrid model students are offered both hands-on classroom experience as well as an exhaustive curriculum. There is no thesis required. Instead, a capstone experience will be scheduled at the end of the program. Multiple or single subject teaching credentials can be taken along with the degree.

Tuition & Scholarships
Tuition costs are $1,320 per unit with 30 units required for this hybrid program. The total cost for tuition is $39,600. Over the 11 months of the program a student can expect to pay $1,800 in books and supplies. Other expenses may include room and board ($27,900), transportation ($3,000), personal expenses ($4,500) and a loan fee ($834). These are estimated costs and may vary per student.
Pepperdine GSEP provides students with $5,500,00 in scholarships each year. Most students (75%) receive financial assistance in some form. The average scholarship amount for a student in the MAT program is $8,085.
